HTET 2018: Last Date To Apply Online

Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH) has released the notification of Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2018 examination. The HTET 2018 exam will be conducted on January 5 & 6, 2019. This is an offline exam consisting of three papers. Interested candidates can fill the application forms between until November 30, 2018.

In order to take the examination, candidates should hold a valid graduation degree as per the opted subjects. It consists of three levels. Level 1 is for class 1 to 5, level-2 for class 6 to 8 and level 3 for class 9 to 12. Explore the complete details regarding the HTET 2018 examination.

HTET Eligibility 2018

Candidates should meet the eligibility criteria set by the BSEH. There is no specific age limit to appear for the exam. For becoming a teacher for classes 1 to 5 (PRT), one should have passed senior secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks or passed/ appearing for the two-year diploma in elementary education from a recognised board. Candidates must have passed B.Ed from a recognised institute for TGT. One should have passed post graduation with B.Ed for PGT lecturers. However, aspirants are advised to refer to the official notification for individual subjects.

HTET 2018 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern is different depending upon the level of teachers. There shall be no negative marking. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer. The question paper will be in English and Hindi. The duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.

HTET Admit Card 2018

The admit card for the HTET will be released by the BSEH on December 20, 2018. The registered candidates can download the admit card from the official website in order to appear for the pen- and paper-based examination. Candidates are advised to check all the key information on the admit card prior to downloading.

HTET 2018 Sample Question Papers

The official notification has also released sample questions for every level. These sample questions will make aspirants familiar with the overall paper pattern besides understanding the difficulty level of questions. The sample question papers will also help in increasing the speed and accuracy.

HTET Qualifying Marks

Candidates have to secure the minimum qualifying marks in the entrance examination. The qualifying marks are similar to all the levels. According to the official notification, the qualifying marks for all the levels are as follow.
For all categories except Scheduled Castes and PwD: 60% (90 marks)
For Scheduled Castes and PwD: 55% (83 marks)
For Scheduled Castes and PwD (Other State): 60% (90 marks)

HTET 2018 Syllabus

BSEH has published the nature and standard of questions for all the three levels of examination. Aspirants are advised to visit the official notification to explore the subject-wise nature of questions. The general studies subject in all the levels will mainly focus on the elements of day to day happening with a focus on the Haryana state.
