IIM to Declare CAT Results 2017 Soon: Know How to Check and MBA Admissions Criteria
The most awaited CAT 2017 Results are expected to be out soon. While efforts are being to declare the results by January 6, sources have said that the results are more likely to be published on the second week of January.
IIM and other B School MBA aspirants must note that the CAT score is not the only criteria for admissions. The admission policies differ in differ varsities. Depending on that only the candidates will get confirmation about their seat allocation.
However, a good amount of weightage would be given to the CAT 2017 percentile that the students score.
Other criteria for MBA Admissions
Apart from the CAT scores, the IIMs have also given weights to
- class 10 marks
- class 12 marks
- graduation percentage
Note
Some IIMs are also giving additional points to female candidates.

How to check CAT Results 2017?
In order to check the CAT Results 2017, follow the steps given here:
- Log on to the official website iimcat.ac.in
- Click on results link
- Fill in all the required details on the login page
- Click to Submit
- The results will be displayed on the screen
- Save it to your computer and take a print out of it for future reference

About CAT
CAT (Common Admission Test) is a national level entrance examination, which is conducted for admission to management programs in Indian Institutes of Management (IIM's) and top B-Schools across the country. It tests a candidate on his quantitative ability, data interpretation skills, verbal ability and logical reasoning.
CAT also serves as the eligibility criteria for being admitted into the business administration courses in various IIM's spread across the country. The test is designed to evaluate the management aptitude of students by testing his analytical and communication skills. It demands up to three to four months of intense preparation.
