The updated official announcement for IBPS Clerk jobs in 2023 is now available. The number of IBPS Clerk vacancies has been increased from 4045 to 5545. Candidates interested in the IBPS Clerk test should be aware of the state-level and bank-level vacancies. The Bank of Baroda reported 1000 vacancies on 3 October 2023, and Canara Bank added 500 more vacancies to the overall IBPS Clerk vacancies on 3 July 2023.

Selection Procedure

The IBPS Clerk selection process consists of the following stages:

  • Prelims: The IBPS Clerk prelims exam is divided into three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. Candidates must complete 100 questions in 60 minutes. Sectional timings are also available. The overall score for the exam is 100.
  • Mains: It is divided into four sections: general/financial awareness, general English, reasoning ability and computer aptitude, and quantitative aptitude. The test lasts 160 minutes in total, with varying sectional schedules. The test has a total of 200 points.
  • Final selection: Candidates are chosen depending on their performance in the main exam. The prelims exam scores are not used to determine the final merit list.

IBPS Clerk Pay Scale

The starting basic pay for an IBPS Clerk is INR 19,900. IBPS Clerk salaries range from INR 19900-1000/1-20900-1230/3-24590-1490/4-30550-1730/7-42600-3270/1-45930-1990/1-47920. The starting wage for an IBPS Clerk is INR 19,900, with a maximum of INR 47,920. Furthermore, candidates are eligible for a variety of allowances such as Dearness Allowance, Travel Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Special Allowance, Medical Allowance, and so on.
