Assam Class 10, 12 Board Result 2021 Evaluation Criteria Announced, Check Details

The Assam Board Result 2021 is expected to be released on 31 July 2021. The state government would use a basic formula of 40:40:20 for students of class 10 and a formula of 50:30:10:10 for students of class 12.

The Assam government has released the criteria for evaluating state board students in Class 10 and 12. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the exams had to be cancelled. The Assam Board Result 2021 is expected to be released on 31 July 2021. The state government would use a basic formula of 40:40:20 for students of class 10 and a formula of 50:30:10:10 for students of class 12.

Education minister Ranoj Pegu announced this in the presence of officials from the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), and the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), the boards that conduct the exams.

"The evaluation of students for classes 10 and 12 would be based on internal assessment records and prior exams that are available with us," stated Pegu.

Evaluation Criteria For Class 12

For practical exams of class 12 students, 50 percent of their total marks would come from the best three subjects of Class 10, 30 percent from Class 12 practical, 10 percent from internal evaluation and attendance in Class 11, and Class 12, and the remaining 10 percent from AHSEC.

Students who do not have practical in Class 12 from the arts and commerce streams will receive 50% of their marks from the best three subjects in Class 10, 40% from internal assessment in Class 11 and Class 12, and an additional 10% from AHSEC.

Students who are dissatisfied with their grades or the evaluation process will have the option of taking regular exams by September 15 or whenever the exams can be held. This year, there would be no revelation of rank holders for various streams.

Evaluation Criteria For Class 10

For students taking the Class 10 board exams, 40 percent of their marks would be on the basis of their performance in Class 9, 40 percent on their assessment of performance in Class 10, and 20 percent on school-based internal assessment.

In schools where pre-board exams for Class 10 were not held, 70 percent of the marks from Class 9 would be utilised for evaluation, with the remaining 30 percent awarded by their schools based on previous attendance, class tests, and so on.

The scores awarded to students in Class 10 and 12 this year will not be regarded if they later apply for state government jobs that give significance to marks in the board exam. Such students would be required to take a specific eligibility test for those occupations.
