Isn't it the most serious time of the year? Yes, CBSE exams are on and you as a student must be trying hard to get yourself well prepared for the same. Much of how well you do in your exam depends on how well prepared you are, and how well prepared you are depends hugely on how well you have managed your time.

Time management is crucial for any exam and that's the reason why everyone insists on a timetable to be in place while preparing for any exam. Nevertheless, only having a timetable in place might not work out for you. It is also important to know how to manage the assigned time.

While many of you must have put is a lot of time studying for all your subjects, it might be a humongous task for many to manage their time well. These time-management tips discussed below are helpful to get the best out of the time allotted before an exam.

Identify and organise each task of the main tasks that you perform daily, be it studying, exercising, playing, watching TV, coaching, eating, sleeping, etc., but cut out on the tasks that you can do away with during this period of time, like watching TV. It is helpful to write it down in a diary or put it up on your study space.

It is not only important to organise your daily activities but also organise your study place. Having a fixed and organised study place would more likely enable you to focus more and have lesser distractions.

It is not always necessary to follow the herd when you are planning your routine. Plan out what works best for you. Check which time works out for your study, some of you might be morning people whereas many of you would be night owls, so choose whatever works best for you.

Prioritise your subjects and even the chapters as per the weightage. It is always a good idea to attempt the portions which carry more weightage. Also, as you start the day, list down the subjects to be finished in the priority list for the day. Aim to finish the tasks on priority on a daily basis first and only then attempt more.

Assign deadlines to finish a particular chapter or a portion of it. Try and stick to the deadline. Remember that you do not have to compete with your friends or classmates in meeting deadlines but it is important to have a deadline for yourself.

Make sure your deadline does not make you feel stressed, but on the other hand keeps you on your toes to meet the same. Assign couple of extra minutes for the topics that you find difficult.

It is very important to review if you are going according to your plan. Do a quick review at the end of the day. Also, you can weekly check if the allotted schedule is practically working out. Make changes to your schedule accordingly, if necessary.

It is also important to relax and unwind yourself during this period too. Small breaks help your mind to relax and help you keep going with enthusiasm and focus.

So, it's time to get set to get your very best for the exams. It is important to note that we all have the same number of hours in a day but it entirely depends on us to make the most of it. Manage your time effectively and excel throughout. All the best!
