The Young Achievers Scholarship and Holistic Academic Skills Venture Initiative (YASHASVI) Scheme 2025, introduced by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), is a significant effort to support students pursuing technical education in engineering and technology. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students, encouraging them to excel in their studies and contribute to India's technological advancements.

Scholarship Distribution

A total of 5,200 scholarships are available.
2,593 scholarships are allocated for students in degree programs.
2,607 scholarships are designated for diploma students.

Financial Support

Degree students receive ₹50,000 per year, renewable for up to four years.
Diploma students receive ₹30,000 annually for up to three years.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be enrolled in the first year or gain admission via lateral entry into the second year of an AICTE-approved institution.
The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed ₹8 lakh.
Candidates must provide proof of income and other necessary documents during application.
A maximum gap of two years is allowed between the qualifying examination and admission to the current course.

Core Engineering Requirement

Scholarships are exclusively for core engineering branches.
A shift to other fields or disciplines renders the student ineligible and requires them to repay the scholarship.

Application Process

The application process involves three key steps:

Submission of Application:

Students must apply online through the AICTE Scholarship Portal or send their application to [email protected] before the February 15, 2025 deadline.

Verification by Institutions:

The respective educational institution verifies the application and submitted documents.

Final Selection by AICTE:

AICTE conducts a second-level scrutiny to finalize the selection. Successful candidates will receive scholarship funds via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
