Students roar high in Class XII third semester exam

More than 99% students have cleared the Class XII third semester examination this year. Approximately 1.15 lakh students took the exams and 1.14 lakh students returned with the flying colours.

A total of 1,215 students got 100 out of 100 marks.

Of the 1,215 students, 845 students got 100% marks in Chemistry, followed by 229 students in Physics, 126 students in Mathematics, while only three students got 100 out of 100 in biology.

More than 99% students cleared third semester

At least nine students got 100 out of 100 in Computer.

From academic session June 2011-2012, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) decided to divide Class XI and XII exams into four semesters. The final result will be based on average of all these four semesters.
Out of 1,15,573 students, who registered themselves for examinations, 1,15,192 appeared.

According to the board officials, group wise figures revealed that out of total of 73, 705 students who registered for group A (Maths), 78, 502 appeared. In Group B (Biology), out of 41,833 registered students, 41,657 appeared In Group AB (with Maths and Biology), out of 35 registered students, 33 appeared.

Out of this total number of 1,15,192 students who appeared for their third semester examinations, maximum (95,361) appeared in Gujarati medium. This was followed by English medium by 18,408 students.

In A group, 99.33% students cleared, while 98.48% students passed in B group. In AB group, 100% students cleared the examination.
