The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Class 10 assessment procedure and marking policy. It has announced that the CBSE Class 10th result will be released by June 20, 2021. Over 20 lakh Class 10 students will be assessed based on the internal assessment conducted by schools. The results of Class 10 will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion developed by the board. Students who are not satisfied with the marks allotted will be provided with an option to appear for the exam when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams. Earlier, the CBSE has cancelled Class 10 exams due to the COVID-19 cases surge.

CBSE Class 10 Assessment Procedure
- Students will be assessed out of a maximum of 100 for each subject.
- 20 marks for Internal Assessment and 80 marks for year-end board examinations.
- As the board exams are cancelled, 80 marks will be done by the schools based on the following points.
- (a) Marks scored by the candidate in the different tests/ exams conducted by the school during the year.
- (b) Marks should be in consonance with the past performance of the school in Class X board exams.

What After CBSE Class 10 Assessment?
Students who are not satisfied with the marks allotted or not obtained the minimum passing marks will be provided with an option to appear for the compartment exams. The schools are directed to hold an objective type offline or online compartment exam for the registered students.

The official notice reads, "Schools should not wait for the last date to complete an activity. Based on the number of students in Class X, they may complete activity earlier also."
