The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched the 'Innovation Ambassador Program,' which will train teachers to improve their mentoring skills. The programme was launched jointly by the Innovation Cell, AICTE, Ministry of Education, and will train teachers from affiliated schools in five modules: Design Thinking and Innovation, Idea generation and Ideal hand-holding, Intellectual Property Rights, Product/Prototype development, Finance, Sales, and HR.
Over 40,000 teachers took part in the online awareness program for the Innovation Ambassador Program. CBSE Chairman Manoj Ahuja stated, "Students in schools require an enabling environment to engage in innovative tasks and generate ideas. What is essential is that these kids are mentored and education be aligned with the NEP 2020 goals."
The Chairman of the AICTE, Anil D Sahasrabudhe, expressed hope in the children as they learn to examine their environment and are encouraged to do creativity in schools.

The CBSE has also collaborated with the National Council of Applied Economic Research on a school skilling programme. According to the statement, NCAER will conduct a research study in two phases. The first phase will analyse CBSE inputs and compare existing teaching and learning patterns to find gaps and faults with the current CBSE curriculum.
The second phase of the research will concentrate on identifying methods and corrective measures to overcome these limits and improve the elements found in phase 1 in order to make skilling programmes more relevant and impactful in CBSE schools.
