1. Comment on the scope of international content in Indian context, and how relevant would it be applicable to Indian learners?

Dinesh: India is a very unique country with lots of fascinating case studies. We feel that these are hugely under-documented and we are trying to develop some. For example, we developed a case of Chhavi Rajput of village Soda that we use in one of our course. From a business perspective, the concepts are the same internationally; the idea is, be able to deliver them in a fashion that students can relate to.

2. What are the top 7 open courses widely researched and looked for, by the Indian students on Sunstone Business School Open Courses? And why?

Dinesh: Many of our courses are very popular. Our courses on negotiations, leadership, basic economics, entrepreneurship, marketing are all very popular. I feel they are popular because we take a collaborative and interactive approach and the pedagogy itself is student friendly.

3. With students and youngsters often glued to smart phones, ipads, iphones and laptops these days, the influence of online media is empowering the 'learning capability' of e-learners, faster than ever before - What is your opinion on this?

Dinesh: We certainly see these as great collaboration opportunities. For learning specially, I feel that these devices can serve as excellent consumption points. The key still is the core method of teaching itself, the pedagogy to engage, inspire and motivate students.

4. In education, it is believed that quality supercedes all the other elements of imparting knowledge. On similar lines, what is your take on existing quality of educational system in India and their influence on e-learners.

Dinesh: There are major improvements in the quality of education across our country. The value of using technology is that you can maintain consistency at a high quality. While technology driven education is often perceived to be cheaper, we see it as a high quality way, enabling reach and consistency.
