The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), is all set to provide training to teachers via OLABS (Online Labs), for free of cost. Dr. Sadhana Parashar, Professor & Director of Academics, Research, Training & Innovation, kindly invites teachers from all CBSE affiliated schools across India.

The Department of Electronics and Information Technology(DeitY) is planning to execute a project on "PANIndia Content Delivery Network (CDN) for e-Learning: Olabs" through ERNET India.

In this project, Online Lab Experiments of Science and Mathematics of Secondary & Higher Secondary level will be available on ERNET's CDN Network 24X7 throughout the country.

To understand these Olabs (Online Labs-Virtual Experiments) ERNET will provide one day training, which is free of cost to teachers of all the CBSE affiliated schools. It would be conducted region wise in two phases.

In the first phase, ERNET will train master trainers (about 1,250) who will give training to other teachers in the second phase. Two teachers per school will be trained, and a total of 30,000 teachers will be trained. The training is free of cost.

TA/DA of the teachers may be taken care of by the schools themselves. But, the traveling/boarding and lodging expenses and suitable honorarium of the Master Trainers who will be training other teachers of all CBSE schools in the second phase, will be taken care of by ERNET India.
