Know About The Exam

Know The Syllabus

Without giving much tension to the aspirants, SSC has published the detailed syllabus of every individual section in CGL. SSC usually sticks to the syllabus. Hence, read the syllabus completely.

Know Where You Stand

Prior to their preparation, one should know where they stand in the competition. Try to assess yourself with the diagnostic test. This test score will reveal your weak areas. With this score, you can start your preparation accordingly. For instance, if you fail to do well in general awareness, you can dedicate more time to prepare for this section.

Know Your Strengths & Weaknesses

None of us can be good at all the sections and no one can be weak in all the areas. Try to identify your strengths and weakness through the SWOT analysis. This analysis will be very useful while preparing for any difficult topic.

Know The Previous Years' Questions

We keep on saying this for every competitive entrance exam. By analysing the previous years' question papers, you will understand what the organisers are testing. This activity will also make you acquainted with the test format.

Know How To Plan

The most important part in the preparation is preparing an effective study schedule. Both success and failure depend on it. One should prepare their own study schedule depending upon the assessment carried in SWOT and diagnostic test. They should also consider their strengths and weaknesses while preparing the timetable.

Know What To Learn

The hard work will pay only if you apply it in a strategic way. One should know which topics have weightage and which are likely to be asked in the examination. Aspirants are suggested to identify the most important topics based on their assessment and start their preparations accordingly.
