Tips To Write A Good Blog

Keep it plain and simple-

The content has to be easy to read. The message has to be simple to understand. Convey plainly what you are wanting to communicate to the reader. Remember, that you are writing your blog for an online reader and not a book reader. Make it neatly woven with simple words and communicate your thoughts in short paragraphs.

Standard Read-
If you choose to use a font, make sure to have the same all throughout the blog. Having multiple fonts styles or font sizes would disturb the reader's concentration on the message. Have common colour patterns in a single blog. Use CAPS or bolded phrases whenever required, may be for sub-headings or main headings and so on.

Convey the message-
The ultimate purpose of a blog is to convey the message to the reader. There's no point in beating around the bush without a goal. Try not stray away from the concept / subject. Let your information be contextual and related. You are an informer / story-teller. How you choose to convey the message across, is your call. Do it in your style, but keep to the point.

Conversational tone-
Involve the reader in your story. Make them think about what you're saying or writing. It must be as if you are talking to them, but virtually. You may want to think about a situation where you're explaining something to a person, face to face, and then write in that context. Use conversational tone.

Freedom to be yourself-
This is one of the great platforms, to be yourself and to prove yourself as a writer. It wouldn't be satisfying, if you imitate someone and not be you. Instead, enjoy the complete freedom of writing freely. There may be a lot of content on the web which is available and common, but there is just one 'you'. So, make it unique and enjoy blogging.

Careful about facts-
Facts are facts. There's nothing wrong in sharing facts with your readers. Just make sure that your content is verified and sourced though. To be on a safer side, do some research before your put the content up. Watch out on the controversial subjects / topics.

Image works-
If you think that a picture can talk better than words, then you better go for it. Without a second thought, it can be the best method for inexperienced writers. Learn how to place images in proper format and structure. It is one way to grab the reader's attention and keep him/her occupied in the content.

Check your content-
It is a golden rule for all writers across industries, cultures and societies worldwide; to proof-read your own content, for multiple times, before making it live. Put yourself in the reader's position and check if the content communicates what you're looking for. Check for elements such as grammar, spellings, sentences, names, proper introduction and conclusion of the entire write-up.
