Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), which is one amongst the five Central Armed Police Forces of India, has released a recruitment notification for the post of Constable (Telecom). The notification was released for a total of 218 vacancies. ITBP has started accepting the applications from both male and female for the vacancies for the Non-Gazetted & Non-Ministerial posts of Constable (Telecom) in Group 'C' on a temporary basis. The eligible candidates can apply for the post until November 27, 2018. The selection procedure for the ITBP Constable (Telecom) exam consists of three phases. ITBP Constable Selection Procedure

Phase I: (A) Physical Efficiency Test

Candidates whose applications are accepted by the ITBP have to report at the venue on given date and time with a printout of the admit cards and online application form for PET. Marks will be awarded for this test and it will be only qualifying in nature. Candidates who fail to qualify in this stage will be eliminated here itself. The events of the PET are as follows.

For Male Candidates

i) 1.6 km race to be completed within 7.30 minutes.
ii) Long jump 11 feet (03 chances).
iii) High jump 3½ freet (03 chances).

For Female Candidates

i) 800 m Race To be completed within 4.45 minutes.
ii) Long jump 09 feet (03 chances).
iii) High jump 3 feet (03 chances).

Phase I: (B) Physical Standard Test

Candidates who qualify in the PET will be screened for height, chest and weight measurements. One who does not meet the required physical measurements will be eliminated at this stage.

Phase II: Written Test

Candidates who qualify in PET and PST will be allowed to appear for the written examination. The written test will consist of objective type multiple choice questions. The written exam consists of a total of 100 questions. The duration of the exam is two hours. The test will be on general English, general Hindi, general awareness, reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude. After the completion of the written test, candidates will be selected based on the merit list in each category such as general, OBC, SC and ST.

Phase III: Verification Of Original Documents

The successful candidates required to produce the original documents related to educational and professional qualifications, date of birth etc. Candidates are advised to visit the official notification to know the list of documents required for the verification process.
