The CBSE has begun a series of initiatives to promote reading among students and create an active learning atmosphere. One of these initiatives, called the Budding Authors Program, encourages students to develop storytelling skills to enhance their creativity. Through this program, students have the chance to have their stories published and share their ideas and imagination.

The CBSE Budding Authors Program has two stages. The first stage will take place at the school level from November 10 to 30. After the competition, each school will select two students per category following specific guidelines. The stories can be written in English or Hindi.The next part of the competition will happen on the internet. Schools need to choose 2 winners for each category and register a maximum of 6 students. Each student will receive a unique login ID and password to submit their work. The deadline for submission is January 15th.
The CBSE Budding Authors Programme seeks to create a forum for students in grades 5 to 10 to read a wide range of stories and learn to write well. Students who compose and submit short stories as part of the latest edition of the CBSE Budding Author programme will have the opportunity to express their creativity and have their work published.This most recent edition of the CBSE Budding Authors Programme 2023-24 is beneficial to students in grades 5 through 10. Students can submit their stories in Hindi or English in the three categories listed below. The first category is for students in grades 5-6, the second category is for students in grades 7-8, and the third category is for students in grades 9-10.
