Lakshmi Vilas Bank, which was founded in 1926 by a group of seven progressive businessmen of Karur, has released the recruitment notification for the post of Probationary Officer (PO). The Bank, which was incorporated on November 3, 1926 under the Indian Companies Act, 1913, will accept the online applications for the post of PO till December 30, 2019.
The Bank will select the candidates through online examination, group discussion and personal interview. According to the official notification, the online examination will be conducted on January 20, 2019. The selected candidates will be recruited on CTC basis and the compensation is as per industry standards. The selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in the Online Examination, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Those candidates who come out successful in the Online Examination shall be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview thereafter. The Bank reserves the right to make required modifications in the selection process. The online examination consists of six sections. A total of 150 questions will be asked carrying a total weightage of 150 marks. The total duration of the exam is 90 minutes. Numerical Ability: Number series, simplification, quadratic equation, data interpretation, data sufficiency, basic arithmetic topics such as percentage, profit and loss, average, ratio and proportion, partnerships, si & ci, problem on ages, time and work, time, speed and distance, mixture and allegation, pipes and cisterns, etc. Analytical Ability: Puzzles, seating arrangement, coding-decoding, number series/alphabet series, logical reasoning, input-output and blood relation. Verbal Ability: Vocabulary questions, idioms and phrases, word usage, antonyms, grammar-based questions, sentence correction, error spotting, para jumble, para summary, reading comprehension and odd one out. Computer Awareness/ Digital Awareness: History of computers, hardware and software, operating system basics, internet terms and services, basic functionalities of ms-office, networking, communication, database basics, computer security and viruses. Banking Awareness: RBI, monetary policy, nationalization of banks, types of bank accounts, types of cheques, types of markets, banking abbreviations, types of bonds, NBFCs and heads of banks.
