Saraswati Education Society is a public charitable trust which was formed on 10 Oct 2003 by Dr Nandkumar Y Tasgaonkar. He is the main founder and Chairman of the trust. Since its inception, the trust has established ten institutions at Bhivpuri Road station, Taluka Karjat, District Raigad. The trust is running various professional courses in engineering, management and pharmacy in its institutions. All the post graduate and degree courses are approved by AICTE, UGC and DTE, and affiliated to Mumbai University. The diploma courses are recognised by the respective boards under the State Government of Maharashtra. More than eight thousand students are pursuing various educational courses under the guidance of over one thousand well qualified teaching & non– Teaching staff.

Yadavrao Tasgaonkar Institute of Engineering and Technology (YTIET), Raigad was established in 2005. The college is affiliated to University of Mumbai.
Yadavrao Tasgaonkar Institute of Engineering and technology is the first institute of SES established in June 2005 and approved by AICTE, DTE and Govt. of Maharashtra and affiliated to University of Mumbai.
Today institute runs 6 undergraduate courses viz. Electrical, Computer, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics, Mechanical and Biomedical engineering and postgraduate courses viz. MMS and PGDBM.
