Waymade College of Education, Anand was established in June 2004 under the management of Charutar Vidya Mandal.

It is one of the premier institutions to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Sardar Patel University, Anand and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 18th May 2012 under Act, 1956.

The college also recognized & approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhopal and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B+" Grade  - (CGPA Score 2.83 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 27th March 2011.

The Founders and Visionaries of this Seat of Learning called Vallabh Vidyanagar firmly believed education to be an effective means of societal reconstruction. Hence all the efforts of the leaders, past as well as the present, reflect this perspective.

Since teacher performance is the most crucial input in the field of education, the Charutar Vidya Mandal established this college to prepare teachers who can teach effectively through English Medium.

Originally known as CVM College of Education, this institution was sanctioned permission by the NCTE vide its letter No. WRC/2- 32/61/2004/4434 dated 8th July 2004. The code number given to this institution for B. Ed. programme is 323125. The intake granted than was for one Unit, i.e. 100 students.

Following a goodwill gesture of donors, Shri Vijaybhai Patel and Shri Bhikhubhai Patel in January 2005, the college was renamed as Waymade College of Education.

The college was also granted the permission to launch the M.Ed. (English) CO-ED programme by NCTE vide letter no. WRC/5-6/131st/2010/65887 dated 26/02/2010. Initially, the college was granted the intake of 25 students to the M.Ed. programme later on a revision was made and 10 additional seats were granted to the M.Ed.

The college was granted permission to start M.Phil. (Education) programme with the intake of 10 students from the Sardar Patel University and started M.Phil. programme from the Academic Year 2013-2014.

Various teaching and learning techniques are being used by the faculty to impart knowledge and skills to students at Waymade College of Education, Anand in its various departments.
