About Vivekananda Degree College for Women

Vivekananda Degree College for Women, Bengaluru Urban was established in 2006 by Janatha Education Society (R)-(Estd: 1972) & managed by eminent individuals who have excelled in various fields and totally committed to the cause of providing good education & all round development of students.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Bangalore University, Bengaluru and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The society has four campuses. The city campus located on Dr. Rajkumar Road, Rajaji Nagar IInd Stage, Bengaluru - 560 055 on a one-acre leased land from BDA. About 90,000 sq ft., the building is built on this plot. Two acres of plot adjacent to this is been leased from BWSSB, to be used as a playground for the students.

JES is running various institutions in the name of Swamy Vivekananda. The total student strength in all these institutions is over 8000

The college has excelled in various fields and totally committed to the cause of providing good education & all round development of students.

The college offers an undergraduate course in Arts & Commerce streams with optional specializations under Bangalore University, Bengaluru.

A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students in its various departments.

The Placement Cell of the college maintains cordial relationships with various corporate and arranges recruitment drive for the students

The Placement cell provides latest inputs from FKCCI to update the Students about industry orientation business programs. Campus interviews will be organized from time to time from Multinational companies and banks. 100% placement is provided to all our Students
The college runs a canteen inside the campus where staff and students can have meals and snacks prepared in a hygienic manner and at an affordable cost
Internet & Wi-Fi facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs

A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
