Vidyavan Women's College of Education, Kakinada (V.S Lakshmi D.Ed College for Women) was established in 2003 by TEAM-VSL with the sole motif of empowering women graduate trainee teachers with FREEDOM through good and perfect education as it firmly believed in the dictum.
The college is affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
Vidyavan Women's College of Education is a self-financed institute, which is recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
VWCOE has cornered a pride of place as a prominent centre of TEACHER TRAINING EDUCATION in these parts of Andhra Pradesh, due to its tradition of pursuing academic excellence, value based education, conducive environment for wholesome personality development and sophisticated infrastructure.
VWCOE is presently located in rustic ambience and is housed in a clean, well-lighted and spacious building with well furnished, learner friendly class rooms, domain specific library, suitably designed laboratories and a user friendly seminar hall. Above all the soul of the college is its well qualified and experienced faculty. VWCOE has very well defined methods for developing analytical and integrated skills in trainees, for working out creative solutions in pedagogy. It goes without saying that the college’s commitment is to churn out highly qualified and professionally groomed graduate-trainee teachers with obvious respect for social values and spirit of human emancipation
VWCOE offers B.Ed., course in Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Social Studies, Telugu and English methods and is affiliated to Andhra University, Waltair. The total intake of students is 100.
