Veer Bahadur Singh Mahila Mahavidyalay was established in 2006. Its affiliated to University of Lucknow. It is a college of excellence for women.

The objective of establishing the college was to make the students responsible citizens by inculcating the virus of self-discipline, self-confidence, social service and humility in female society of the state and country.

This college of excellence for women was established in the year 2006 by the untiring efforts of Shri Gulab Singh, Chairman  of Jila Panchayat GorakhPur, Ex-Chairman of Jila Panchayat Singh of U.P. Director of IFFCO & KRIBHCO, Central Government and the brother of unowned social worker and a popular leader Late Shri Veer Bahadur Singh, Cabinet Minister of information, who also served as a Chief Minister of the State. The objective of establishing the college was to make the students responsible citizens by inculcating the virus of self discipline, self confidence, social service and humility in female society of the state and country.

Academic Excellence Commitment, sincerity & integrity  are the qualities that drive the college and its staff and student forward, because by possessing these sensibilities one can begin to achieve the true potential.  Faculty is per excellence ,committed and experienced for achieving the cherished goals of the institution.

This women college started its academic journey with B.A. in seven subjects- Hindi, Sociology, Education, Philosophy, History, Political Science & Home Science registering 121 (one hundred twenty one) student.

The experience faculties of the college achieve 100% results. Thereafter N.C.T.E. approved the B.Ed course which started in 2007. A new wing of the college got constructed, with lecture theaters, a fully equipped computer lab, educational technology lab fresh look to the existing library & opened B.Com & BBA courses in session 2009-2010.
