Vaishali Institute of Business and Rural Management, Muzaffarpur was established in 1983. Its affiliated to B R Ambedkar Bihar University.

Vaishalis Institute of Business and Rural Management is housed in a permanent sprawling campus, which is situated in the suburbs of Muzaffarpur City. The area where the Institute is located has many other educational Institutions and is also close to the Industrial Park. The surrounding is peaceful and free from traffic congestion. The main university campus is 3 kms. away.

The Institute building is an architectural marvel and is surrounded by lush grounds and flower beds. Class Rooms are spacious as are the common rooms and other enclosures. Two fully equipped computer labs with latest hardware and softwares, coupled with Broadband Internet connection, make learning, a joy. The Institute library has more than 10,000 books and subscribes to more than 50 national and international journals. Modern facilities are added every year so that learning becomes an enjoyable experience. The Institute has its own deep bore well for water supply and its own generator for power backup.

Apart from the main campus at Muzaffarpur, the Institute has two liaison offices at Patna and Delhi, respectively. These liaison offices are equipped to offer every assistance to the students.
