Uttaranchal College of Education, Dehradun is among the renowned colleges in the region to pursue course in the field of teacher education.

Uttaranchal College of Education is affiliated to HNB Garhwal University and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The College is equipped with all the basic facilities in their campus to ensure that the aspiring teachers acquire quality education.

The Institute is a dream comes true of their founder Mr. Gurudev Singh Warne, an engineer by profession. Uttaranhal College of Education runs under the aegis of Guru Nanak Dev Educational Society, which had been running a Paramedical College since 2003.

Inspired by the success in the field of quality education in the above field the society decided to set up this college in its pursuit of excellence in the field of Education.

"Uttaranchal College of Education" has come into existence as a result of concerted efforts of "Guru Nanak Dev Educational Society". This educational society which is registered under the Indian Society Act of 1860, is serving to the society by imparting quality education so as to build up competent professional and young technologists with moral ethical values embedded in them so that such professionals can not only meet the societal needs of our nation but also manage effectively the affairs of the world, now turned into a global village in this millennium.

Building a carrier is not restricted to imparting education only. Imparting education is only one aspect of it. Some other perspectives make a lot of difference to personality building, which is so vital for career planning.

We at UCE aim at an all round personality development and thus we also put emphasis on extra curricular activities like dramatics & music clubs, we encourage social activities like Blook Donation Camps and free medical check-up camps for the weaker sections of the society. Cultural activities are encouraged by way of celebrating national festivals / our Annual Day and also by organizing group-wise field sports competitions / sports activities. In addition, in near future military authorities will be approached for NCC training in the institute. Students Welfare Society is being setup with an aim to give students first hand experience in organizing intra and inter college events and programs like Fresher's Day, College Night, Farewell Day and Teacher's Day.
