Upendra Nath College Orissa was raised to the stage in Arts in 1966.

The college was previously affiliated to Utkal University but now affiliated to Fakir Mohan University, Balasore. 

The college started the course of Commerce in 1978 and Science in the year 1980.

At present it is one of the premier colleges in the district of undivided Balasore and the Universities well giving Honours teaching facilities in 13 subjects like English, Economics, History, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Commerce.

Computer teaching facility in PGDCA and CCP is available under the joint venture of Govt. of Orissa and the college.
