Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE), Madurai was established in 1957.

Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) is a Government Aided Institution and affiliated to Anna University and situated in Madurai. The college is affiliated to Anna University.

TCE aims at creating quality professionals to meet the emerging industrial and social needs through innovative teaching, applied research and industrial interaction. TCE is one of the highly recognized Engineering and Technology Institutions in India by MHRD.

Spread across 143 acres, TCE is a self sustained educational institute with nearly 219 Faculty members, 4300 students and 200 administrative and supporting staff. The campus is set within a serene and eco-friendly environment surrounded by dense vegetation and best infrastructure facilities. More than 60% of the faculty members hold doctoral degrees from reputed national and international Institutions.

The institution has fifteen academic departments (offering nine UG programmes and ten PG programmes), five nodal research centers, Incubation center and more than fifty laboratories aiding hands-on learning of products and system building. Each course is designed to have balance depth of conceptual and Technical knowledge along with practical understanding.
