Thakur Panchanan Mahila Mahavidyalaya(TPMM), Cooch Behar was established in 1981.

This is an undergraduate, women's college.

The college is also known as Mahila College Cooch Behar and is a renowned center for propagation of advance knowledge. 

Besides being conveniently located, the excellent infrastructure of the campus generates an ideal ambiance for studies.

The college offers a wide choice of undergraduate courses both at honours and general level in disciplines of Arts.

The college has state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure.

The college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognized by UGC under 2(f) & 12(b) and is well equipped with all modern facilities.  

The college is affiliated to the North Bengal University, established in 1962 with a goal to disseminate knowledge to fulfill growing socio-economic and technical manpower needs in the six North Bengal districts. 

This was the first university in the region and has played a pioneering role since inception in spreading higher education.
