Thakur Institute of Aviation Technology (tiat) has been established in March 2006. The Institute is approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Govt. of India, New Delhi under Category 'G' Training School to impart ab-initio training in the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) for obtaining Basic License in Mechanical Stream [Heavy Aeroplane (HA),Jet Engine (JE)],Avionics Stream [Electrical System (ES),Instrument System (IS) and Radio Navigation System (RN)] and Mechanical Stream [Rotary Aircraft Wing (RA),Jet Engine (JE) and Piston Engine (PE)]. The Institute is also approved by the DGCA, under Category 'B' Workshop Process and Inspection to carry out Non Destructive Testing (NDT) using Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Fluorescent Particle Inspection (FPI), Eddy Current Inspection (ECI) and Ultrasonic Inspections (UI).To meet quality assurance requirements, Institute has opted ISO 9001 - 2008 certificate in the year 2008 for all courses from Benchmark. To ensure the quality education, the management is committed to quality technical education and is striving continuously to improve its effectiveness by taking subsequent measures.
