Texcity Medical College (TMC), Coimbatore was established in 2006. The college is affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. The college is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The college is managed and run by Texcity Medical & Educational Trust Which was formed in 1992 to impart quality medical education and training. The main objective of the college is to extend their medical and educational services to the society by establishing and constructing their own hospital to begin with 50-100 beds, a charity hospital to build in due course a 500 bedded multi disciplinary corporate hospital under the name and style as Texcity Medical centre and Hospital, Coimbatore.
