About T.John College of Hotel Management, Bengaluru

T.John College of Hotel Management, Bengaluru is a constituent college of T. John Group of Institutions was established in 1993 by Dr. Thomas P. John.

The college started by Dr. Thomas P John, with liberal aid from his father Mr. T.John who is Ex-Minister of State for Infrastructure Development and Aviation, Government of Karnataka.

It is governed by a governing Board, the Chairman being Dr.Thomas P.John the son of the founder Mr.T.Johnm.

It is affiliated with the Bangalore University, Bengaluru and it is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Acharya Institute of Management and Sciences is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.46 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 23rd January 2017.

The aim of the institute is offering an excellent education to those students who want to enter into the field of hospitality administration also imparting high-quality hotel management education acceptable to the international hospitality industry.

It is a co-educational self-financing institute, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of Bengaluru played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college has received numbers of awards in the field of education, sports, and curriculum at affiliating University.

The college is one of the top Institutes in Bengaluru for Hospitality Education. It has ranked in the top in the region for two consecutive years making hotel management courses the leaders in this sector.

The college offers 4 years an undergraduate program in Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management (BHM) under the affiliating University.

The Department of Hotel Management at T.John has introduced student & faculty exchange programmes, Twinning Programmes, bringing in additional courses, making scholarships available to pursue integrated courses and providing a channel for students to take up their Industrial training overseas.

Admissions to the college is through Written Ability Test (WAT) conducted every year. Admissions will be based on the merit of the candidates in the Written Admission Test.

A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
