Swatantrata Sangram Senani Vishram Singh, Government Post Graduate College (sssvsgpgc), Chunar was established in 1997.

The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith.

The aim of the college is basically with the purpose of educating the boys and girls who inhabit the far-flung villages and who would have been deprived of receiving higher education by reason of indigence and dearth of academic resources.

The objective of the college is to provide regular and requisite grants intended for promoting interests and developing and expanding the infrastructures towards up-gradation and elevation of college.
