Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University (SKRAU), Bikaner was established in 1987.

The RAU has been renamed as Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner (SKRAU, Bikaner).

University aims to impart and promote agricultural knowledge to Modern Indian students.

University was established as a consequence of promulgation of an Ordinance by the Government of Rajasthan which was later enacted by an Act of Rajasthan State Legislation.

The university is authorized to provide instruction in Agriculture and Allied Sciences.

The main objectives of the university are to impart education in agriculture and allied branches and to undertake research work in agriculture and allied sciences.
