The college is governed and run by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training, Government of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the prominent Ayurveda colleges in the country. The college is recognized by the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Swami Kalyandeo Government Ayurvedic College Muzaffarnagar imparts an undergraduate course Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS). The course is a five-and-half-year program. The institute's infrastructure is modern with well equipped facilities.
