SVKM’S Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Global Campus, Navi Mumbai, was established in 1981 by the Narsee Monjee Educational Trust.

It is recognized and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A+" Grade (CGPA Score 3.59 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 12th September 2017 and conferred the certificate of ISO 9001:2008 Certification.

The aim of the college is to focus on education and research, entrepreneurship and innovation also offering training oriented towards producing highly qualified practitioners and researchers.

It is a co-educational private. institute, providing regular courses in which is located in the urban part of Mumbai played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college has also emerged as a multi-disciplinary University with 6 campuses at Mumbai, Shirpur, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore and Navi Mumbai and 12 constituent schools that include Management, Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Commerce, Business Economics, Science, Law, Aviation, Liberal Arts, Design & Distance Learning.

The institute also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under the affiliating university.

The institute has been rated one amongst the top ten private top-10 B-schools in India and received the 10th rank among top 10 B-School in the Asia Inc B-School Survey (South Asia Region).

The Institute has been awarded 1st rank of Top B-Schools of Super Excellence and 2nd rank in Overall Rank of Private B-Schools by GHRDC - CSR B-School Survey.

At present, the institute offers Management courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels by offering various specializations under the affiliating university and offers programs leading to an award of Ph.D. in various disciplines.

The undergraduate courses are granted academic autonomy by the university. The college is also a research center management disciplines.

The college offers two-year full-time M.M.S, two-year part-time D.M.S, three-year masters’ part-time programs and other one-year diploma programs.

NMIMS SBM is a member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).

The institute has industry collaborations and Memorandums of Understanding (MoU)s with companies and universities. The college has tied up with universities in India, the United States, Germany, South Korea and Singapore.

Students are admitted to postgraduate courses on basis of their CAT test scores.

The institute has its also own selection process unlike other colleges under affiliating University. The institute has an online application process where prospective applicants are expected to fill in their interests and academic achievements.

Admissions here done are based on the merit obtained by the aspirants with the minimum aggregate of 50% in their previous courses in the relevant field.
