Sundarban Ashutosh B.Ed College (SABEC), 24 Parganas was established in 2008 and affiliated to the Calcutta University.

Sundarban Ashutosh B.Ed College for women is established in Recognition to the sacred memory of Late Ashutosh Manna the beloved father of Mr. Gour Hari Manna, the founder secretary of the college with a motto for advancement learning by conducting secondary Teacher's Training Course for the women of vast Sundarban area of South 24 Parganas.

Women's Teachers Training centers are very dearth in our State in this context the establishment of teachers training college for women has become urgently needed in the interest of furtherance of education among the women.

With a motto of this advancement of qualitative improvement of teachers education among women, this institution has setup and accorded recognition for NCTE and affiliation from the University of Calcutta from the session 2008-09.

The college functioning in an ideal an peaceful atmosphere in a lovely and homely surrounding. The main aim and object of this institution is to arrange man-making education is to create a lively learning atmoshpere in the circumference of the institution.

From the very day of its inception, the college has been functioning properly maintaining well balance within all the factors to achieve its mission for making the college as a center of excellence in our country, India.

MISSION

The college is established with a motto for the development of teacher education programme for women of vast Sundarban Area of South 24 Parganas, Since women teacher training college are very dearth in the State of West Bengal.

The college got NCTE Recognition and University Affiliation from the session 2008-09 for opining for B.Ed (Secondary) Course with method subject of English, History, Bengali, Geography, Education, Work Education, Physical Science, Life Science & Mathematics.

The college got affiliation in the subject of Sanskrit method from the session 2010-11.

the college has all sorts of infrastructure and instructional facilities as stipulated by NCTE. Laboratories for different subjects are well equipped. The Library holdings are augmented with addition of books and journals every years.

The students teachers' relation is maintained in healthy atmosphere of the college. The students teachers take-up there internship programme comfortably in social atmoshere. Games and Sports, Seminar, Study tour, cultural activities, publication of college magazine, observation of national festivals and various competition are held to promote intellectual and creative talents of the students.
