Sudharsan College of Education, Perumanadu has obtained permanent recognition from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bangalore.

Earlier, the college was affiliated to Bharathidasan University.

But from 2008, The College has been affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University (TNTEU).

The College is located at a distance of around 6 KM from Pudukkottai Town on Pudukkottai Kudumianmalai road in Perumanadu village in Pudukkottai district.

The College is built in the midst of sylvan surrounding.

The College of Education has been established with the sole aim of bringing out dedicated teachers in whom knowledge of pedagogy and professional skill are essential and important but far more important is the teacher as a person, his philosophy and attitude towards society and social issues.
