St.Peter's College of Education, Coimbatore was established by governing body members of the Coimbatore Diocesan Society.

The College owing to the pressing need especially from the economically weaker sections of the society and the minority community.

The College is envisioned that the proposed college will help the deserving students to obtain B.Ed. Degree which would enhance their job opportunities.

The College is affiliated to Tamilnadu Teachers Education University and got approved by NAAC.
