About St.Paul's College of Education

St.Paul’s College of Education, Giddalur was established in 1996 managed under St.Paul’s Educational Committee by Late Sri Gona Moses.

The college is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University, Prakasam and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Candidates who have passed B.A / B.Sc, B.Com Degree with minimum 45% aggregate are eligible for the course. Preference would be given to the students from Christian Minority.

The college has been constructed in a sprawling campus on the backdrop of 15.4 acres of land. The college building is grand and majestic and visible from the long distance. The main building includes the office of the secretary and correspondence, Principal’s room, Office room and staff room.

The college has separate laboratories for Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences with adequate equipment in the form of instruments, gadgets, glassware, models, charts, specimens etc.,

Students here are admitted based on the Andhra Ed CET and counseling.

Various teaching and learning techniques are being used by the faculty to impart knowledge and skills to students at St.Paul’s College of Education, Giddalur in its various departments.

Aims and objectives of the society:

  • To generate awareness among the rural poor and impart knowledge to all those who seek it and not only in academic education, but also in technical, moral and eave sense to enable them become sensible human beings, good citizens and build up good human relations leading to peaceful co-existence
  • To establish all types of educational institutions and provide them with all equipment and facilities to enable poor children to grow in all aspects
  • To start reading rooms and libraries with good books , novels, newspapers, etc., to disseminate knowledge among the youth and other elderly people, beside students. For this purpose the St. Paul’s Committee collects voluntary subscription or donations from those who make use these facilities and even from the general public, philanthropists, companies, donors, etc.
  • To establish endow, maintain, equip and administer educational institutions, including medical, Engineering, pharmacy college, medical diagnostic centers, hospitals, establishing hostels fore the poor at concessional rates carrying out other activities to render cervices for improvement of their lives. These will be done with out any discrimination of caste, creed, and race and on non – profit basis
  • To enable all educational institutions established by St.Paul’s Educational Development Committee, Giddalur to cater educational needs to all the poor, particularly to the minority and rural communities including tribal
  • To establish hostels keeping in mind the rural poor children and those who find difficult in daily traveling having nutrition food and their by unable them to grow in health and educations

General Instructions & Rules to Join this College:

  • Fee: Admission and Tution fee are applicable as per the prescribed Government Norms. Fee once paid will not be refundable
  • The selection made by the college committee
  • Application forms can be obtained from the Office of the Committee and also by post with a demand draft of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundered Only) towards registration fee in favour of St.Paul's Educational Development Committee, Giddalur with self addressed envolop of 11cmX25cm size duly fixing Rs.5/- postage stamps
  • Certificates to be enclosed: (xerox copies only)
  • SSC, Degree Provisional and Marks Memo, TC's, CET Rank Card, Hall Ticket, Migration Certificate, Study certificate (VI to Degree) and Non-Pregnency Certificate (for Married Women Candidates) and Certificate of Caste and Religion
  • All the Original Certificates should be produced at the time of admissions and the same shall not be returned till the completion of the course
  • Hostel facilities are available
  • The Students should strictly abide by the Rules and Regulations of the College

Aims and Objectives of the St.Paul’s Educational Committee:-

  • To impart knowledge to all those who seek it not only in the field of educational but also in Christian values and principles and there by share in the responsibility of establishing love, peace, equality,
  • other hood and national integration
  • And for this purpose to establish endow conduct maintain manage equip pharmacy colleges, medical diagnostic centers, institutions, hospitals, establishments, hostels boarding homes and carrying of other activities incidental there to far the benefit of all the administer educational institutions including medical and engineering colleges the Christians in particulars and also others to the extent possible irrespective of caste or creed without involving in any commercial activity
  • To start reading rooms and libraries to disseminate knowledge among the Christian communities and collect voluntary subscription and donations from the public donors in India and outside to maintain the same.
  • These institutions cater the needs of Christian minority community as envisaged under article 30(1) of the constitution
  • The people in and around prakasam district A.P, India have still vivid memories of late sri Gona Moses, the founder President of St.Pauls Educational Institutions.
  • Late sri G.Moses was born on 15th July 1925 and bought up in Anumalpalle, Giddalur Mandal Prakasam Dist. Andhra Pradesh, India
  • He was barely 22 and in the prime of life, he joined army with a fond hope that he would be able to serve the country thinking that servicing the country was serving the people
  • He joined the army but having witnessed the Indian soldiers being subjected to ill treatment by the Britishers who were in higher cadre, he felt frustrated and resigned the job and came home

 

 

  • The college has well-equipped with all modern facilities with well qualified teachers

  • More than two hundred poor but educated people , both ladies and gents are being benefited from St.paul’s educational Institutions having permanent employment and livelihood. These employees include both teaching and non teaching staff. About one hundred casual labourers also are being benefited from the St.pauls educational Institutions
  • The staff is very committed and dedicated for the educational development of the poor   
  • Citizen camps are conducted on Institution level at the close of the Scholastic year students will be gathered according their gradation of their institutions for promoting unity, fraternity and love for India   
  • For the Good health and to develop sportive spirit among the students District level and state level meets of Games and Sports are conducted in there College
  • Every year thirty to forty widows are selected and given pension a@ Rs.100/- per month   
  • Our Committee responds and assists the fire victims and distributed 10 Kg of rice per family along with utensils, clothing, bed sheets etc.   
  • St.paul’s educational development committee, Giddalur had make it policy to spend some money for the welfare and development of the poor people. Senior students also participate in such activities. Clean and Green, Janma Bhoomi Programmes , Pulse polio activities, village welfare activities are some of such programmes in which the students participated
