St. Mary's Centenary College of Education, Visakhapatnam is an minority Educational Institution, was established in 1988 by the Catholic Archbishop of Visakhapatnam.

The college was started in the true tradition of the Catholic church with the sole aim to draw people to GOD in wisdom, knowledge and accordingly to wipe out ignorance from the minds and hearts of people.

The College proudly joins the array of innumerable Catholic educational institutions spread far and wide with a spectrum of approach.

Their vision stands for the power of Understanding or the insight into realities especially that concern the interests of neighbours.

Ultimately the motto would mean that every member grows into a full fledged person, gets enlightened regarding social and human values and offers to help others in achieving similar growth, welfare and development.

The National Council for Teacher Educations has given recognition to St. Mary's Centenary College of Education in 1998-99 for the first time and there after it is renewed every year.
