About St. George's College
St. George's College, Kottayam was established in the year 1965 named after the patron saint of the local catholic parish is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University.
The College is re-accredited by NAAC with 'A' grade and has distinguished itself for its high academic standards, discipline and achievements in sports and games.
The College is situated on the banks of river Meenachil.
Now a first grade college managed and owned by St.George's Forane church.
The college has come into lime light due to its innovative scheme on community linkage establishing a community telecasting centre at the college one of its first kind in India.
