St.Cyril's College, Vadakkadathucavu was established in 1981 as Junior College and it was upgraded to an institution of higher education in 1991.

St.Cyril's college has entered the second stage of its growth to a centre of excellence.

Since the completion of delinking of the Pre-degree Courses in 2001, the college has become a full fledged Institution.

The college is under the Corporate Management of the Holy Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church of India.

The aim of the St.Cyril's college is to provide students with quality education and thereby to create in them qualities which are characteristics of a good citizen and are determined to serve among the least served.

The college is to impart knowledge and wisdom, to lift the society through punctual interaction with the students and people.
