St.Anne's B.Ed College For Women, Periyakulam was established in 2006.

The College is one of the two colleges in the same campus under the management of the congregation of the Sisters of St.Anne of Tiruchirappalli which has a cluster of aided and unaided schools under their managerial wings.

The congregation is a registered body with their head office at Tiruchirappalli. St. Anne’s B.Ed College for women is registered under the same society’s registration Act XXI of 1860 with the name Jayaraj Annapackiam College for women college committee, Periyakulam under which Jeyaraj Annapackiam College for Women (Autonomous) is functioning in the same campus.

Perched on a hillock at the foot of Kodai Hills, adjacent to Jayaraj Annapackiam college for women (Autonomous), the only aided autonomous women’s college in Theni District, Tamilnadu, managed by the Sisters of St. Anne of Tiruchirappalli, the training college is situated in a sprawling area of lush green background. The materialization of the infant institution on 2nd January 2006 under the patronage of the Superior General Rev. Sr. Edwige is an answer to the aspiration and expectation of the local have nots, who can ill afford the luxury of urban education.

The College is affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai and shifted to Tamilnadu Teachers Education University, Chennai, from 2008-09.
