Sri Vasavi Institute of Engineering and Technology (SVIET), Krishna was established in 2007.

SVIET is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to JNTU, Kakinada.

An inspired group of eminent industrialists who have carved a niche for themselves in their chosen fields came together with a visionary zeal and missionary commitment and started Sri Vasavi Educational Society in 2007. SVIET was thus born to provide holistic education and create technology with a human face.

They chose Nandamuru (on the Pedana-Bantumilli Road on NH 214 A), a serene place far from the marketing crowd. The idyllic surroundings, the aesthetic appeal and pollutions-free ambience would naturally aid the students as they can grow in the lap of nature by observing nature's myriad moods, preserving the fragile nature's equilibrium in an eco-friendly atmosphere.
