Sri Vari College of Education, Thiruvanamalai was established in 2006.

It is a known fact that teachers play a very important role in students lives. To a great extent, teachers are instrumental in molding their future, shouldering the responsibility by providing a strong foundation for the young. Recognizing the need for producing quality teachers, the Sri Vari College of Education-offers B.Ed course for a duration of one year. The course combines theoretical and practical teaching with micro-teaching methods of instruction.

The Sri Vari College of Education is having rich experience in the field of education. The College of Education introduced the B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) course to prepare educational leaders in a learning-centered environment and the various aspects associated with teaching.

Sri Vari College of Education is managed under Sri Vari Educational Trust by able, intellectual, efficient, service minded, experienced educationists.

The Objective of the Trust is to impart quality education aimed at creating excellent academicians capable of contributing to the upliftment of our society.

The motto of the Trust is : Educate, Enlighten, Empower". Sri Vari College of Education has been recognized by NCTE, Bangalore and has been affiliated to the Thiruvalluvar University, Velore.

The college functions at the permanent building at Thenarasampattu.

The College has also been granted continuation affiliation from the academic year 2007-2008.
