Sri Sarvajna College of Education, Bengaluru Urban was established in 1980 under the management of Sri Sarvajna Education Society (R) and was founded by constituted by their visionary founder Sri. B.S. Paramashivaiah in 1971.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress and imparting the best education in the field of Teacher's Education.

It is affiliated to Bangalore University, Bengaluru and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is also recognized & approved by Govt. of Karnataka and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bengaluru to offer B.Ed. course and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.40 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 5th January 2013.

The Grant-in-aid was also extended to the college from 2009 by the department of Public Instruction, Government of Karnataka.

The word 'Sarvajna' signifies simplicity, skill, and efficiency of highly resourceful energetic and enterprising teams of dedicated and morally sound teachers and students. They have sufficient teaching experience in the field of teacher education.

Over the years the society has been running several institutions and inspired with the ideas of nation building education and it spares no efforts to develop this institution into a model education center in the state.

In Sarvajna, the maintenance of quality and standard are possible because of the dedicated, committed Principal and faculty. They have sufficient teaching experience in the field of teacher education.

The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level.

But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
