Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati was established in 1983 and is affiliated to Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam Women's University which is accredited by NAAC.

The Department of  English Language and Literature offers Master of Arts in English Language and Literature a two years degree course.

Their course enables the students to take up positions like teachers in schools, colleges, Universities, spoken English institutes, to set up own schools, to work as translators, customer relation executives and Air Hostess, to take up positions in Tourism Developments, I.T & Management and to pursue higher studies abroad.
