Sri Muthukumaran Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai was established in 2009 managed by Sri Muthukumaran Educational Trust.

The Medical College has been approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.

The College is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu DR.MGR Medical University, Chennai.
