Sri Dhavala College, Moodabidri (Dist. Dakshina Kannada) was established in 1979 under the management of Sri Moodabidri Digambara Jaina Vidyavardhaka Sangha (SMDJVS) which was established in the year 1906.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Mangalore University, Mangaluru and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.22 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 5th November 2016.

The college is located on a spacious and serene campus, away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The college caters to the educational needs of a wide range of students, especially those belonging to low socioeconomic groups. Adequate emphasis is given to the education of girls from rural areas.

At present, the college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, & Management streams with various specializations under Mangalore University, Mangaluru.
