Sri Aravindar Arts & Science College, Villupuram was established in 2000 under Sri Aravindar Educational Trust.

The college was affiliated to University of Madras at the time of inception and later transferred to Thiruvalluvar University in 2003.

The college is one among the brigade of reputed colleges in India which are recognized under section 2(f) of the university grants commission (UGC) Act 1956, government of India in 2007.

"Well received is the learned" goes an age old saying. In order to mould many young minds towards perfection through education, the Management of Sri Aravindar Educational Trust Started Sri Aravindar Arts and Science college in the year 2000.

The Management consists of humanitarians and generous individuals whose ardent aim and desire is to produce dynamic citizens for our country by imparting a broad stream of advanced learning, infusing discipline and inculcating the tendency to expose the latent skills of the students in various extra curricular activities. The college bears the motto "EDUCATION FOR PROSPERITY" striving to make the student morally and intellectually fit to go through the multifarious hurdles engulfing life and come out successfully, fit for a prosperous future and a better life.
