Sree Narayana Guru Institute of Science & Technology (SNGIST), Ernakulam was established in 2003.The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University.

SNGIST was established in the year 2003 by Guru Deva Trust as part of its vision to create centers of excellence in higher learning. The college has excellent pool of faculty members with academic and research experience.

Sree Narayana Guru Institute of Science & Technology, (SNGIST) is a Centre of Excellence in ‘higher learning’ which is unique and different not only for the guiding philosophy and values, but also for the innovative learning practices. SNGIST is led by the Gurudeva Trust from the noble intentions and farsighted vision of a few leader figureheads in their own communities and with years of experience in business and government.The mission of SNGIST is to enable students to explore the resources available to them and make their experience of it unique, personal and internalized for growth and to undergo a transformational learning. The institution offers post graduate courses in MBA, MCA and Engineering degree course under  Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and approved by AICTE and is ISO 9001-2008 certified. Specializations in Marketing, Finance and Human Resource are being offered in the second year of the MBA course. In Engineering, 5 streams namely Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering is offered. Apart from this, the college offers add on programs taking into account today’s context. The campus is situated on 12 acres of land. It is a Wi-Fi campus with 400 computers and modern computer labs housing state-of-the-art technology. The mail server of SNGIST is now hosted by Google.

The eco-friendly campus provides opportunities to students to engage in various sports like basketball, volleyball and shuttle badminton.

The Library at SNGIST is an outstanding learning resource center catering to information requirements of students. The library has more than 20000 volumes of text books and over 130 journals/magazines and access to over 1600 e-journals. In addition, e-learning facilities are also there. Hostel for boys and girls with excellent amenities have been provided inside the college campus.

SNGIST’s unique teaching methodology makes students more competent. It will assist graduating students in securing positions in reputed national and multinational companies. In addition to the individual counseling, students will be trained in group discussion skills, interview skills drafting job applications, providing up to date employment trends, career information etc. so that the students will face the placement interview with utmost confidence.
