Sree Lakshmi Vidyalaya Teachers Training Institute, Kolar was established in 1963.

The college is managed under Vijaya Venkateswara Vidya Samsthe (VVVS).

Education is a liberating force and more so in today's world it is a democratizing force which crosses all barriers of religion caste & creed has been the motto of SLVTTI and undoubtedly striving for quality Education is the only way to build up a strong democratic nation.

SLVTTI, since 1965 have trained around 3000 rural students from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Pondichery and Laksha Dweep in Pedagogical Sciences.

All most all pedagogies are well placed in educational institutions and even some of them are running their own institutions and serving for the cause of education, especially in rural parts of Southern India with dedication and love towards profession. Two public annual examinations are conducted by Government of Karnataka State Education Examination Board (KSEEB), Bangalore.
